About Hotel Management

The Department of Hotel Management at Doon Group of Colleges, Dehradun, is a dedicated academic unit committed to the advancement of professional education in hospitality, tourism, and food service management. Established with the objective of producing competent, ethical, and globally oriented hospitality professionals, the department has steadily built a reputation for academic rigour and industry relevance.

Located in Dehradun — the administrative capital of Uttarakhand and a significant node in the northern tourism circuit — the department benefits from its proximity to heritage hotels, eco-resorts, wildlife destinations, and pilgrimage tourism corridors. This geographical context is deliberately integrated into the academic experience, offering students an enriched understanding of diverse hospitality environments.

Objectives

  • To provide comprehensive instruction in all core domains of hotel management including food production, food & beverage service, front office operations, and accommodation management.
