The Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry at Doon (PG) College of Agriculture Science and Technology Selaqui, Dehradun is a 2-year full-time postgraduate program affiliated from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (Central University). The program follows a semester system under the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS). The main objective of this course is to provide advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills in various fields of chemistry including organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, and biochemistry. Prepare students for research and development (R&D), academia, and industry roles and develop analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and laboratory competence. This course has wide scope in academic and as well as in research opportunity to pursue Ph.D. and engage in advanced scientific research. After completion of M.Sc. in Chemistry various industries such as pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, food and beverage, cosmetics and agrochemicals provides jobs at a very good salary. Besides of this various government sector also open such as environmental monitoring, forensic labs, public health, and regulatory bodies, lectureship in schools, colleges, and universities after qualifying NET/SET.
